The boxes for these are marked Amber. The glass is tinted amber, so that the light is very warm - too warm for normal use. Output is low too.
Would recommend for ambience only not a practical light source.

Reply: Hi Peter, sorry you weren't 100% happy with these bulbs, the bulbs do have a slight vintage tint to them (we list that in the specs), but we don't list them as "amber" because they are much less tinted then an actual amber bulb (like our Radio style or Long Tubular styles). The warm light tone is due to the vintage style filaments, not like the bright white light of modern bulbs. We list the Kelvins for this reason, 2700k, which is a warm light on the spectrum (as opposed to a cool light). Picture 3 in the listing is an accurate look at the color of the glass against a white backdrop, and picture 4 is a good example of the color of the light with the bulb turned on
As for brightness, these are one of our dimmer bulbs due to it's huge size, if you need bright light we recommend using multiples, or we have some bulbs that do put out more light, we list the Lumens for reference on actual light output (for example, these are 160 lumens, our 60 watt Marconi bulbs are 400 lumens, much brighter).
Hope that helps, we do always welcome returns as well if you are not happy. Thanks! -Paul
