Beautiful, unique and sturdy, these vintage style Brass Lamp Socket with a 3 Way Turn Knob Switch are absolutely the best quality around, they're cast brass and have a screw on base instead of the plated brass and snap-on base like cheap run-of-the-mill sockets. Available in 6 finishes, they have a 3-way on/off rotary turn knob and are super simple to work with: simply screw off the base to access the 2 wire connections inside. Perfect for restoring old lamps and lights or for all of your homemade lighting fixtures.

- Cap base has 1/8 IPS standard lamp pipe thread with set screw
- 3-way sockets allow you to use a 3 way bulb to get 3 levels of light with each knob click, or you can use any regular bulb and you will have the one level of light, 2 click for on, 2 clicks for off.
- - Installation note: These sockets, like most self wire-able metal sockets, come with a cardboard lining inside. This should be left in as it acts as an insulator. Do not remove it.

Solid brass light socket
I am currently in Atlanta visiting my Son and had tried a number of supply routes for this part. I was appalled by the poor quality of workmanship of light sockets from Home Depot and the like, so was very pleased to find your on line store. The quality is head and shoulders above anything else I had looked at and more akin to what we have in England. I was still surprised by the impregnated paper insulation as we haven't had that type since the 1950s, but the terminals were very good and I was very pleased that I was able to complete the table lamp I had made for my Son.

This is the second time I've bought several of these sockets to rewire lamps with cheap sockets or on-off capability. This brand is fantastic! They're solid and heavy, the turning knob feels excellent, and they're just a pleasure in every way. Hard to believe we can still buy such great quality parts given how shoddy most components have become. These are definitely built to last for a very long time, and to look great. Not only all that, but the price is more than reasonable considering what high quality they are.

The appearance is beautiful! We do high-end lamp design and restoration and this line of light sockets from Snake Head Vintage is consistently beautiful in operation and appearance! We use a little ivory soap on the threads to make the reassembly operate smoothly. These are not inexpensive but are fairly priced.

Fed up with the cheap crap sockets at your hardware stores? Me too! Found this product online and couldn't be happier. Heavy, solid polished brass 3-way socket is perfect for my vintage and not so vintage home lamps. Gives you a sense it will last longer than you will.

Really good looking
I love these good looking shiny gold light sockets. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because they are too big/long for my 2 vintage lamps. I will use them on other lamps. I will order with you again.
