Strain Reliefs
Strain Relief (Cord Gripper):
Strain reliefs, also referred to as cord grippers, are an easy and effective way to secure your cord to a socket or a canopy, or any place you might have weight and/or fatigue being placed on the wire connections. The strain relief is a great tool to utilize for safety as well as presenting a more finished look to your wire connections. Our strain reliefs thread into any of our sockets that have a threaded base, or mount to our canopies with a washer and nut. They are 1/8ip lamp pipe thread (the most common size, equivalent to 10mm threads internationally).
For best results, we recommend the cone shaped strain relief cord grips for our 2-wire cords, and the set-screw style strain reliefs for our 3-wire cords.
