2 Prong Electrical Plug - Black rubber shell polarized male plug
- SKU:
- plug-2prong-rubberpolarized
These heavy duty plugs are perfect for wiring up 2-wire electrical cords, (they look great with our 3-wire round cords too, although since they are only 2-prong there will be no ground connection). Look great, high quality, easy to work with! Great as a lamp/pendant cord plug, or pair with a matching female outlet connector to make an extension cord setup!
- BRAND NEW, UNUSED ITEM!
- Rubber shell that pries apart and snaps back together, allowing easy access and wiring
- 2 screw terminals inside - brass screw for black (hot) wire, silver screw for white (neutral) wire
- Designed for 18 to 16 gauge cords
- 15 amp, 125 volt
- UL listed

Poor Quality Rubber
This is the only item out of 3 replacement parts that I recently purchased from Snakehead Vintage that is disappointing in quality. Upon reassembly of the plug after wiring, the rubber split apart. I do not feel safe using the plug and will have to look elsewhere for a replacement. The rubber seemed rather rigid and was difficult to remove and to replace. Perhaps we just got a dud.
Reply from SHV: Sorry to hear this Ginger, we'd be happy to send a replacement! I can say getting the plug head out of the rubber housing is the most difficult part, do it gently because it does require prying on the rubber, pry too much and it can rip the rubber. Once you've got it out safely, wiring up the plug and re-inserting it should be a breeze. -
exactly as advertised.
good fit. no deeper than a regular lamp plug.

Very simple to wire, with that classic vintage look.
All their products arrived well packaged, were of high quality, and were reasonably priced. I may have discovered Snake Head Vintage by accident, but I'm now a customer for life.

Favorite plug
I've used a lot of different plugs, but I've found I like these the best. They are really easy to use and stay secure in the socket when plugged into the wall.

Exactly what I was looking for!
Great vintage style plug. And it's polarized! Easy to disassemble/re-assemble and wire up.

Two prong Polerized
I do antique radio's and always update them electrically for safety and having a 2 prong polarized plug that looks like an antique but up to date is important.

Go to plug
Nice normal size plug, easy to install. Looks good on vintage wire. Excellent!

Attractive Plug
I like this plug because 1. polarized 2. fairly easy to install 3. just about the smallest form available in polarized plug that is actually attractive. Do wish it came in Ivory and Brown, as I like the plug color to match the wire and fixture build. I like the replica's the best, however they are space hogs on an outlet or power strip. Shape of the plug is everything to me...just a "thing".
