Great for transitioning a smaller thread lamp part onto a larger sized lamp pipe. 1/8ip lamp pipe measures about 3/8" diameter, 1/4ip lamp pipe measures about 1/2" diameter. Most of our sockets, for example, are 1/8ip pipe thread, if you are trying to mount a 1/8ip socket onto a lamp with a 1/4ip pipe, this is the piece to you need to make the transition!
