These awesome sockets are similar in style to our others, but are threaded on the top with "Uno" threads, a standard thread size that allows for a shade fitter to be screwed on. With so many shade sizes, shapes and colors out there, let your imagination run wild and find the perfect shade for you!
 
Shade fitters are sold separately, they come in 2-1/4", 3-1/4", and 4" sizes, see the "Sockets" section of our store.

Beautiful, unique and sturdy, these vintage style light bulb sockets are absolutely the best quality around, they're cast brass and have a screw on base instead of the plated brass and snap-on base like cheap run-of-the-mill sockets. Available in 6 finishes, they have a rotary turn knob and are super simple to work with: simply screw off the base to access the 2 wire connections inside. There is an optional grounding lug on the base of the socket where a ground connection can be made internally or externally if desired. Perfect for restoring old lamps and lights or for all of your homemade lighting fixtures.

- Cap base has 1/8 IPS standard lamp pipe thread with set screw
- Single turn on/off knob
- Installation note: These sockets, like most self wire-able metal sockets, come with a cardboard lining inside. This should be left in as it acts as an insulator. Do not remove it.

    We bought this and some cloth covered cord to rewire an antique table lamp. We put in a black light bulb into the lamp and it makes the base of the lamp glow creating a cool effect. We we definitely satisfied with the quality of the switch and the cord and the resulting lamp. Would use Snake Head Vintage again.
