Antique Replica Electrical Plug - Long neck decagon design for Antique Lamps, Fans, etc, cord rewiring
Polarized 2-prong plug
Black, Brown, White, Ivory, or Red - Great with Cloth Wire
These vintage polarized 2 prong plugs add the perfect finishing touch to your lamp rewire, lighting creation, fan, radio or other small appliance refurbish project. They work great with our rayon and cotton fabric covered cord, and can be added to any order with no additional shipping!!!
A truly classic design, they are a vintage style hard plastic bakelite type housing with screw-on top and screw post wire connecting terminals for strength and security. These vintage polarized 2 prong plugs are extremely easy to work with: simply unscrew the top to remove it from the base, connect your wires to the screw terminals inside, then screw the top back onto the base. Done!
Also, these Bakelite replica plugs are a great option if you are looking for a 2-prong polarized plug, vs an unpolarized plug. These Bakelite replica plugs have one blade larger than the other, and fit into an outlet only one way, so you have a dedicated hot/neutral designation (the larger blade with silver terminal screw is "neutral", the thinner blade with brass terminal screw is "hot")
This listing is for the vintage polarized 2 prong plug only (a quantity of 1 = 1 plug!!! Wire shown as an example, can be purchased separately!!!)

Decent Plug
The plug looks great and allows you to have a polarized plug and keep the vintage look. The way the plug is molded gives a nice grip to plug and un-plug from the outlet. The only gripe I have is that the hollow area is not very big and it can take a few tries to get everything to settle in nicely. Really not a big issue, but if you're planning on using some kind of strain relief be aware it probably won't fit.

ANTIQUE REPLICA DECAGON LONG NECK PLUG
Great plug which due to its design will keep folks from pulling the wire to remove from a receptacle.I can not wait to match the red plug with an inline red switch on ? wire. Paul the owner is a great guy who is patient and very helpful. His orders are filled quickly and are shipped quickly.

Good quality plug
This bakelite plug feels sturdy and offers a collar to grip the plug which makes for a safe removal from the outlet. It is a great looking vintage plug and in my opinion a better choice than the acorn style because of the collar. I did find that it took a few attempts to get the terminals really tight, and my normal plan to tie a knot in the wire to prevent it from being pulled through the plug didn't work because there isn't enough clearance inside the plug. But overall it feels solid and with the collar the added security of a knot may not be necessary. The package was very well packed but was slow getting here due to well publicized USPS shipping delays, which is not the fault of the vendor.

Exceptional Vintage Plug
Replacement cloth covered wire with vintage plug restored a pristine vintage toaster to usefulness. The toaster was just like the one my Grandmother had from the early 1950’s. The restored one has been in our household for nearly 45 years and used regularly until the worn cord needed replacement. It is in use again!

the best quality and service.
I have not actually repaired the cord to my vintage iron yet but the quality of the wiring cord and plug were excellent. It shipped quickly and packaged carefully. The thank you stickers completed the package. I would recommend this company highly. My husband is already making a list of things that can be repaired.

Better than the old days.
This is just like plugs I used about 1965, except for being safer. The old plugs had that cardboard disc on the front. Remember? The only thing standing between your fingers, and a nasty shock! These new plugs look the same except the front is held on with two screws. That is called "Dead Front" and is required by the modern electrical code. I really like the finger grip, for pulling the plug out.

Needed for a woodworking project
Just what I needed a little more than I wanted to pay but they will make my projects look unique.
Reply: Glad you like them Martin, these are our more expensive plugs, but we do have a few options that are cheaper, but just as awesome! Also remember price goes down if you buy more, you can mix and match colors, if you think you'll be needing these in the future consider buying 4, 10 or 20 for a bulk discount. -
