Beautiful, unique and sturdy, these vintage style light bulb sockets are absolutely the best quality around, they're cast brass and have a screw on base instead of the plated brass and snap-on base like cheap run-of-the-mill sockets. And what makes these even more special? Their ability to dim and brighten a light bulb controlled right from the sockets knob! Turn the knob, the bulb clicks on, than as you turn the knob further the bulb will brighten, you can choose your desired light level. Works great with Edison bulbs, or any incandescent light bulb. Easy to work with: simply screw off the base to access the 2 wire connections inside. Perfect for restoring old lamps and lights or for all of your homemade lighting fixtures.

High Quality Dimmer Socket
I was building an industrial pipe lamp and decided to try this dimmer socket because it uses a threaded ring that makes it easier to epoxy the bottom shell to the pipe then attach the upper shell without having to twist the upper shell. The dimmer socket is well-made from heavy gauge metal and has a very solid feel to it. So far, it is the highest quality dimmer socket I have found.

High Quality / Easy to install
We have a table lamp that we purchased several years ago that has a built in dimmer. We like it so much that I thought I would try and find a company that sold these sockets, and fortunately, my first result was Snake Head Vintage.
I ordered just one to try out first, and I was immediately impressed with not only the shipping speed, but also the quality of the socket. It was very easy to install and much better than the cheap on it replaced. I plan to rewire all of our lamps with these dimmable sockets. The added bonus is that now we only need to stock 150 watt replacement bulbs! -
Great lamp upgrade!
I installed these dimmable switches on our bedside lamps this week and, Wow, what a difference they make! I go to sleep earlier than my wife and she likes to stay up reading in bed. The dimming feature lets her set a good reading level without filling the room with light. These fixtures are heavy brass, not the cheap ones from the big box hardware store. Installation was quick and simple and I changed out four switches in less than a hour. Definitely a 5 star product

ANTIQUE BRASS LIGHT SOCKET.
Great quality! Better than I expected. The dimmer works great on all bulbs that I have tested in it. Matched the horse light I was repairing with new socket, wiring and antique plug. Great service and arrived on time despite my girlfriend typing in our address incorrectly.

Extremely satified
After looking all over the internet, Snake Head had just what I was looking for - high quality, multiple finishes, and reasonably priced. The socket itself was heavier that I though (compared with the ones at big box stores) and appears to be very well built. I will definitely shop here again.
