Solid Brass Pull Chain Light Socket, 6 Different Finishes- Top Quality Supplies For Your Restoration or Handmade Lighting, Lamps, Pendants, etc
Pull Chain on/off switch

This listing is for 1 socket, choose between 6 different finishes:

(First picture) Top row left to right: Antique Brass, Polished Copper, Polished Brass
Bottom row left to right: Satin Nickel, Polished Nickel, Satin Black

Beautiful, unique and sturdy, these vintage style light bulb sockets are absolutely the best quality around, they're cast brass and have a screw on base instead of the plated brass and snap-on base like cheap run-of-the-mill sockets. Available in 4 finishes, they have a pull chain on/off switch and are super simple to work with: simply screw off the base to access the 2 wire connections inside. Perfect for restoring old lamps and lights or for all of your homemade lighting fixtures.

These solid brass pull chain light sockets are also available in a turn-knob style and a pull-chain style, listed separately in the "Sockets" section

Select how many sockets you would like using the Quantity selection. The more you buy, the more you save on shipping! ($2.45 shipping for the first socket, $.50 for each additional within USA)

- Medium E26 Standard Base
- UL Listed
- Rated for up to 660 Watts / 250 Volts
- Cap base has 1/8 IPS standard lamp pipe thread with set screw
- Pull chain is 6.5 inches long
- 1-way on/off switch, which means 1 pull for on, 1 pull for off. If you're using a 3-way multi-level bulb, my turn-knob sockets will work for that
- Installation note: These sockets, like most self wire-able metal sockets, come with a cardboard lining inside. This should be left in as it acts as an insulator. Do not remove it.

Glad to find socket for vintage floor lamp

Posted by Unknown on Dec 10th 2020

This lamp came from a dearly departed family friend. The grandkids kept destroying the box store pull-chain sockets we put in. This new socket appears to be able to withstand even the roving three-year olds at our house! Thanks!

    Quality pulls, threaded connections

Posted by nstance on May 25th 2020

These screw together. They are heavy, and very nice looking. I bought these to replace the highly rated mass market pull-chain sockets, which (despite their buyer's rating) didn't hold up to use. This is twice that very low price, which means that for just a few dollars extra, I got a much nicer looking, better operating lamp and I won't have to replace the sockets a third time.

    Antique Brass Pull Chain Socket

Posted by Kevin Dealy on Jan 29th 2019

This is the third socket of this style I have bought from Snake Head Vintage and all have exceeded my expectation of quality and function. I purchased a Stickley lamp 5 years ago for $600 and after time one of the two sockets failed to operate. I was quoted $65 to replace all piping and sockets above the oak frame of the lamp. I replaced both sockets with the above sockets for $20 and they work and look better than the originals to this day. Paul the owner of SHV is easy to deal with and very fare with his prices, shipping and helpful advice.

Restoring my grandparents brass lamp and wanted a quality pull chain socket. This was a perfect replacement. Especially liked the fact the sections screwed together.

The one of the best sockets you can buy

Posted by Unknown on Apr 16th 2018

This socket costs a little more but is well worth it. The top and bottom sections screw together with a well made threaded ring. It will not pop apart like the cheap ones you buy at the big box home improvement stores

    Surprise Find!!

Posted by JG on Apr 11th 2018

My husband and I live in a house built in 1890.
The light in our pantry quit working, it is an original
light of the house, that hangs from our ten foot ceiling
with a cotton cord. Our electrician couldn’t find a
replacement light socket to fix it, so said if I could find
one to let her know and she would replace the light
socket for us. I decided to try and find one online and was extremely happy to find a brand new vintage look lightsocket just like the one we needed to replace!! My electrician was even more surprised! Great product!! Works perfect!! Thank you for the find.

    Great quality!

Posted by Roy on Nov 15th 2013

Better than expected quality. Heavy duty and built to last. However, is more heavy duty than original, thus it does not look or 'feel' vintage. Most folks won't know the difference.
